International TVET conference

Next week, Nairobi will be the meeting point for skills, industry and opportunity! From 9 to 11 September, the International TVET Conference 2026 will bring together government, hashtag#industry, hashtag#TVET institutions, development partners, media and youth for three days of practical conversations on strengthening Industry-TVET Collaboration. The discussions will move beyond identifying challenges. The focus will be on what works, what needs to improve and what can be sustained and scaled. How can training better respond to what industry needs? How can employers play a bigger role in developing skills? And how can we equip more young people with the skills they need to access meaningful employment and compete in a changing world? The forum is organized by the Ministry of Education, State Department for Technical Vocational Education and Training (SDTVET), with support from the GIZ Kenya TVET Programme, jointly financed by the Governments of Kenya, Finland, Germany and South Korea.
