Thematic areas

Six fronts, one movement

Young people, including wheelchair users in matching campaign t-shirts, lead a street march for disability rights as the community looks on.
Policy & Advocacy

Inclusive education policy development

We support governments in drafting and implementing legislation aligned with the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) and African Union frameworks for inclusive education, and we take the case for inclusion to the street, the radio and the community hall. Policy changes when people demand it.

Early Childhood

Inclusive early childhood development (ECD)

The earlier a child is identified and supported, the stronger their start. We equip caregivers and pre-primary educators with play based assessment tools and inclusive learning environments where every child gets a strong foundation.

A teacher signs enthusiastically with a deaf learner during a lesson, sign language charts visible on the classroom wall.
Capacity Building

Teacher training & professional development

Inclusion lives or dies in the classroom. Our pre-service and in-service programmes equip educators with practical skills in sign language, Braille literacy, differentiated instruction and positive behaviour support, enabling them to teach every learner with confidence.

Education in Emergencies

Learning that survives crisis

Conflict, displacement and climate-related shocks often push children with disabilities out of school first and make it hardest for them to return. Child-friendly spaces, accelerated learning and psychosocial support keep learning alive when everything else stops.

Young women in a displacement affected community proudly hold open their exercise books to show pages of completed literacy work.
A room full of children wearing headphones learn from tablets propped on wooden easels at an e-learning centre.
EdTech

Accessible technology for learning

From solar-powered tablet learning centres in rural Sudan to screen reader-ready content standards, we prove that technology, designed with accessibility from the outset, can leapfrog barriers that brick-and-mortar systems have not solved.

Inclusive Technical and Vocational Education and Training

Skills for dignified work

Education must lead somewhere. Inclusive Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), including tailoring, weaving, digital skills and entrepreneurship, helps young people with disabilities move toward sustainable livelihoods, independence and dignity.

Vocational centres · life skills curriculum · employer engagement
